April 14-18

This week in Tiny Table Talks, we continue exploring our April theme: Hope Awaits. The children begin by looking at a picture of a dream vacation spot and sharing why we hope for things like beautiful getaways. We talk about how hope gives us something to look forward to, especially when life feels challenging—it reminds us that joy and rest are ahead.

We then dive deeper into the question, “What does hope look like?” Together, we reflect on how, in our spirituality, hope looks like Jesus—a symbol of trust, love, and kindness. As Easter approaches, we focus on how Jesus gives us a reason to hope and how we can carry that hope into our everyday lives.

Each child creates a drawing of what hope looks like to them. On the back of their artwork, they write or draw one way they can help someone else see hope through an act of generosity, our spiritual practice for the month. These beautiful creations are displayed throughout our space to remind us all to look for hope and share it with others.

Through creativity and reflection, the children are learning that hope isn’t just something we feel—it’s something we can share.
